Motion Collective’s Kidz Competition Team is designed for young dancers who are ready to train with structure, consistency, and purpose.
This program builds strong technical foundations while supporting confidence, discipline, teamwork, and healthy artistic growth.
Company Levels

Junior Company | Ages 7–11
Teen Company | Ages 12–15

Training Focus

All dancers receive foundational training in:

Classical Technique: Ballet, Jazz, Modern

Foundational Hip-Hop

Musicality and performance quality

Discipline, teamwork, and coachability
Training is development-focused and age-appropriate, designed to support long-term growth.
Audition Philosophy
Auditions are not about finding the “best” dancers.
We are looking for trainable students—dancers who:

Are open to learning and corrections

Show consistency and effort

Demonstrate focus, respect, and a positive attitude

Are ready to grow over time
Experience is welcome, but mindset and commitment matter most.
​Homeschool Dance (Daytime Experience)
​
The homeschool co-op style dance experience will be held at:

Youth Life Center of the Arts – Riverdale
​
​
This daytime program includes dance classes and many other activities the center offers. Participating students have the option to audition for the competition team as well.
​
An open house for the homeschool experience will take place at the end of January.
